Artworks & Posters Miś in Hong Kong (2022) — Aga Mori
A homage to the famous movie poster by Andrzej Pągowski for the Polish film “Miś(1980)”, Aga Mori borrowed the familiar figure from her earlier years to reflect on her observations and feelings on living through the times of COVID.
Vaccines and masks, two objects that epitomised the COVID pandemic, through Mori’s unmistakable collage style, were composed into a mask worn by the Miś(Teddy bear); as if children these days would think of wearing masks as normal, putting them on their favourite teddy bear.
Joined with the melancholic eyes of Miś, and chaotic pencil strokes, Mori’s rendition of the poster has has reflected her feelings and emotions during the worst times of the pandemic, all while comparing her daily living to her peers in Poland.
